Umm Sulaym was one of the first women of Yathrib to accept Islam. She was influenced by the refined, dedicated and persuasive Musab ibn Umayr who was sent out as the first missionary or ambassador of Islam by the noble Prophet.
I felt this sense of home in his words, I came out and told my friend, it was like my Ruh (soul) was pulling for its maker. My brain didn't understand, but my soul felt the call, my entire being knew instantly these were the words of God, any doubts, any what ifs, any maybes, out the window. Does that even make sense lol?
"Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last, are better with your Lord for reward and better for hope."
Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, The throne of Allah shook on his death, the doors of heaven opened to welcome his soul, and 70,000 Angels came down especially to accompany the janazah of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh. He's the only man that we know, that the Prophet (SAW) told the sahaba to stand up for, he told them "Stand up for your master".
"And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect." Quran 18:28
