If you follow me on social media, you'll know I've been ranting and raving about Abu Dhabi Fashion Days (ADFD) for several weeks now (that's kinda what happens when I believe in something). I've shared stories of inspiring women, and tales of kind hearts and warm smiles, now to share pics and brands that I love. These brands caught my attention, and I was able to speak to some of the owners and learn a little more about the brand.
Funnily as a non Arab, it was interesting to hear how some brands wanted to move away from the "typical black abaya" - I always thought it was just me lol
From the outside looking in, the black abaya is a staple piece of the Arab wardrobe, so much so that I always wonder "what more can you do to make it different/unique?"... Well these women are doing more. One such designer I loved was Ghufdah! Unfortunately, I was unable to meet the owner, but I did take several pics of her stuff... they just don't do her enough justice.
