In The Hot Seat With Imogen Le Roux
Here at Brimah and John, we have numerous inspirations! One of which are fabulous women, with a passion and a drive to do what they love and what makes them happy. These women are forging a path for themselves in their chosen fields and are an inspiration to us all. So what we like to do, is sit them down in the hot seat, shine a spot light on them... and get to know them a little better!
We had the pleasure of meeting stylist, Imogen Le Roux at the modest fashion awards held by Haute Arabia. Her work on the Aywa models as they walked down the runway stood out immediately, the pictures don't do her justice. So naturally we had to invite her onto the hot seat, and get to know her.
How long have you been a stylist and how did you get into it?
The styling scene for me started 3 years ago but 2 years professionally! I actually was studying a fashion course at university i felt it didn't motivate me enough so i began from scratch and started to freelance it took some time to pick up but i explored different industries! i freelance in western and eastern fashion but recently have been targeting the middle eastern market
What does the stylist role involve?
The roles changes day to day! some days involve research whilst other days involve traveling and sourcing / collecting stuff! Then you have the actual shoot day whilst styling you have to be responsible for all items thats another role on its own! its just a crazy job behind the glamor.

In a recent interview you said you'd love to style Kim K "because she needs it", how would you style her?
She sure needs a bit of styling. I feel she's been forced to dress like someone who she is not its not her you can tell in the way she carries herself its not sexy or flaunting it. i would dress her in something which is ladylike classy. I would give her a figure hugging pencil dress and some high heels with a cute clutch. A nice fitted blazer, that is what we want to see in Kim K she's a mum now she needs to start looking classy!
